Hemorroids
Hemorrhoids consist of a network of vessels forming a plexus in the mucosa of the lower rectum and anus.
Anal Fissure
It is a painful linear slit (ulcer) of the anal canal that extends from the mucosa to the muscle fibers of the internal sphincter.
Anorectal abscess
It is an infection adjacent to the anus that leads to abscess formation. It is caused by bacteria that colonize the glands surrounding the anus.
Anal Fistula
It is an abnormal track (a fine tube) that develops between the inner lining of the anus and the skin near the anus. It is the result of an untreated abscess.
Pilodial Cyst
It is a chronic inflammation of the skin at the level of the coccyx (tailbone).It is caused by loose hairs that penetrate the skin, enlargement of the hair follicles and colonization by bacteria.
