The thyroid gland is found in the lower part of the neck between the larynx (Adam’s apple) and the sternum.
The parathyroid glands are the «calcium regulators» of the body. They are usually 4 in number and lay at the back surface of the thyroid gland. They produce an hormone called parathormone (PTH).
